Women’s Voices Now

Our friend (ROM 2009) Fatima Abushanab, from Washington DC, sends this message which we would like to share with you:

Dear Friend,

Please spare a few minutes of your time to share info about a dynamic project for women’s rights in the Muslim world. I recently joined Women’s Voices Now team, a non-profit organization with a mission to empower women and give voice to the struggle for civil, economic, and political rights. In our first year, WVN will be hosting Women’s Voices from the Muslim World: A Short-Film Festival. The Festival is focused on giving voice to women of all faiths living in Muslim-majority countries, as well as Muslim women living as minorities around the globe.

This project allows for and actively seeks short-film submissions from all the varying Muslim minorities as well as majorities, and the Kurds, Bahai, Hindu, Jewish, Christian, and other minorities throughout the half billion plus women that inhabit the Muslim World.

Watch, rate, share and discuss. 34 countries. 140 voices. 25,000 listeners. Your attention and support is truly appreciated.
